Mark's departure

Here we go again! We are very fortunate to have the ability to set off once again, this time to Europe. Mark is en route tomorrow, bike box in tow, for Innsbruck for a wee bike ride with friends, final destination, Venice. I am meeting up with him in Venice on the 17th. For some reason I had little desire to ride the 500 km with 3 very fit men. Go figger. Hills have never been my forte. If you want to see some of what he will be riding, google "Passo Pordoi". I'm glad I chose to miss the fun.

Packed and ready to go

  2. You are going to miss out ! Nothing like being able to eat whatever you see at any time while on a bike in Italy. Also, I am not for a moment buying the fact that you can't keep up with a bunch of men in their late forties.

have fun around the pool. Take these grey clouds with you

  3. If you can do the GranFondo, you could do the Passo Pordoi; but why would you want to? ;-)
Good luck to Mark and friends.

  4. I just KNEW I made the right decision! Thanks guys. :-)
Although it does sound like Mark is having fun, I have to say that humping a bike up hills does not quite rank as high up there on the fun-o-meter with me as it does with him!
